This is the very first level of our Potter’s Wheel foundation course. This course is suitable for complete beginners to wheel throwing. This course includes: Clay prep, throwing, trimming and finishing basics, intro to surface decoration techniques. Bisque firing is included in this course which is the first round of firing. Students get to take home their work, approximately 6-8 pieces/wares. Glaze Application workshop is not a part of this course and is conducted separately.
Intermediate and Advanced Courses
Experienced students who have already completed their foundational training in potter's wheel can inquire with us directly for advanced courses. Our batches are usually a mix of beginner and experienced students.

Frequency: Every Saturday and Sunday
Timings: 10 AM to 1 PM OR 2 PM to 5 PM (First come first serve basis, you can reach out directly to reserve your spot either in the morning or the afternoon batch)

Class strength: 5 students per batch
Goals
- Being able to pull 10-12 cm height cylinder with a 500 g clay
- Being able to prep 2 kg of clay comfortable and to the right consistency
- Doing Basic form modification - flat bottomed bowls, mugs, tumblers...
- Learning to trim and finish pots
- Attaching Basic Slab-built or coil-built Handles
- Introduction to decorating pot surfaces in leather hard stage
- Becoming independent in a pottery studio - that is, being able to use clay, tools and equipment responsibly and cleaning up after
- Production goals: 2 tumblers, two mugs and two bowls.
Inclusions
- 10 guided sessions (3 hours each) with dedicated attention to instruct you through the course syllabus and working individually with students to solve any issues
- Basic pottery kit
- One Potter’s apron
- Unlimited studio time (unguided)
- Bisque firing of upto 8 medium sized (under 6 inches) pieces
Exclusions
- Shipping or packing of pieces
- Storage of pieces at the studio for a duration of more than 10 days after bisque firing is completed
Terms
Missed Classes: You may miss up to two classes during the course. Makeup sessions for these classes are available on weekdays only, by prior arrangement, solely to cover missed course syllabus. If the syllabus has been completed during your regular classes, no additional makeup sessions will be provided.
Makeups are generally accommodated within weekday batches or grouped with other students. Individual makeup sessions are not offered. We will try to accommodate your availability, but flexibility is required from students to attend one of the reasonable scheduling options offered within our teaching hours.
All makeups must be completed by the last day of the course. If you are unable to attend any of the offered options or miss an agreed session, the makeup will be forfeited. No makeup sessions or compensatory classes will be provided after the course ends. This applies to absences for any reason, including accidents, hospitalisation, travel or family emergencies.
Late Arrivals: Arriving late does not extend your session. The class will end at its scheduled time.
Classes Cancelled by the Studio: If the studio cancels a class, the full session will be rescheduled for a date and time mutually convenient for the group. This will not count towards your allowance of two makeup classes. If needed, the replacement session may take place after the original course end date.
Cancellation & Refunds: A full refund will be provided for cancellation requests received before 12 noon, 10 days before the course start date. After this deadline, a refund will be provided only if a replacement student fills your seat before the course begins. The replacement may be arranged by you or found through our waitlist or enquiries. We will make reasonable efforts to fill your seat but cannot guarantee a replacement.
If no replacement is found before the course begins, no refund will be provided. No refunds will be provided once the course begins, regardless of the reason for cancellation or non-attendance.
Seat Transfers: You may transfer your seat to a friend or family member only before the course begins. Transfers are not permitted once the course has started.
Deferrals: Your booking cannot be deferred to a later batch, either before or after the course begins. No exceptions will be made.
