This is a beginner friendly, 1-day, two and a half hour workshop. Ideal for complete beginners or pottery novices. The recommended age group for the workshop is above 10+ years. This is a fun-filled workshop, designed to introduce you to clay, learn a little handbuilding and make your own Groot inspired planter, that you get to take home! So, come with friends and family, or just bring your self on this clay date with us :)

Date & Time: Saturday, 18 May 2024, 2:30 to 5 PM

Location: GOAK Ceramics. #1181, 12th B main, Indiranagar, Bangalore - 560008.

Class Strength: upto 6 students

Goals: Make a Groot inspired planter. Get to know clay. Learn a little handbuilding. And, have fun!

Inclusions: All required material. Glazing and firing of your wares will be done by us.

Exclusions: Shipping or Delivery of fired wares. Carrying any material back home.

Terms

    1. Missing the workshop: No refunds (partial or otherwise), rescheduling or replacement in any form will be provided if the student misses their booked workshop (with or without intimation), under any circumstances including personal/medical emergencies, accidents, and so on.
    2. Refund: Complete refund will be provided if you request to cancel your seat before 12 PM, 13 May 2024. After this date, refund will be provided only if your blocked seat gets occupied by a student on the waitlist or from your end. We will reach out to our database from our end to the best of our ability and try to fill the seat in your stead. However, if a replacement is not found before 18 May 2024, no refunds will be provided. There are no exceptions to this rule.
    3. Transferability: The seat can be transferred to a friend or family member.
    4. Postponement: The seat cannot be deferred to a later workshop under any circumstances. There are no exceptions to this rule.
    5. Course Flexibility: The workshop flow has been designed meticulously for you to get the most out of the experience. Hence, the workshop flow is fixed, and you will be instructed to handbuild the project in the images above. We will be unable to entertain any requests to deviate from the workshop flow. There are no exceptions to this rule.
    6. Glazing of pieces: Your pieces will be glazed by us. We will be using all food safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe glazes to glaze your wares. Please note that the choice of glazes will be decided at our end to showcase your piece in the best way. We also will require approximately two weeks of time to glaze and fire your pieces. After we inform the students that the pieces are ready for pickup, the wares need to be picked up by students within two weeks time.
    7. Breakage: Although we take utmost care of our student-made wares, pottery can break due to multiple reasons. This is more of a disclaimer to make students aware of the fragile nature of ceramics.
